We wanted to take a few minutes out of your quarantined day to reassure you that we are following every precaution for the safety of our staff, volunteers, community service workers, and animals during this COVID-19 crisis. Please follow the link to learn everything you need to know about this strain of Coronavirus and how it affects shelter animals. Please note that there is no proof at this time that animals can contract this strain, however, they can carry it on their fur! Keep your animals inside too! Click below for more information.
While you're at home relaxing, here are a few things for you to remember and things you can do to help YOUR local Humane Society!
-Monetary Donation - during this crisis, consider sending us a donation big or small. We're struggling to make it as it is and this crisis is going to be extra hard on us. Go to: PayPal.me/HSICShelter and make an online donation. Our Furry Friends say Thank You <3
-Other Donation - don't get out for us! BUT if you HAVE to get out (seriously, don't get out), grab an extra bottle of bleach for us! We clean with bleach every day and are having a very hard time finding any. Other things you can grab are: puppy food, cat litter, Clorox wipes, peanut butter, dog treats, kong feeders, etc.
-Foster - Why not?! You're already stuck at home for at least 2 weeks! Why not go ahead and take one home for a bit! It helps us, it helps them, and it gives you something positive to focus on! WIN WIN WIN! :)
-Adopt - This is the PERFECT time to take home an animal! You've got two weeks at home to get them settled in and get a good bond going! Don't want to get out? That's okay! We can email you the application and either FaceTime with you or facebook video with you so you can see the animals! We do 2-week trial adoptions too!
Stay in, Stay healthy, WASH your hands as often as you can, and STAY SAFE!
